£18,065 to £21,166 per annum pro rata
Part-time permanent post, 22.5 hours per week

We are looking for a Recovery Officer (credit controller) to work in a busy office assisting in collecting debts for the Council. The role is entirely office based and there will be no requirement to visit customers in their own homes. Experience in a similar role is an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.
You will need good written and verbal communication skills and an ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with members of the public. You must work well as part of a team but equally you must be able to manage your own workload and also work well under pressure.
This is a varied, challenging and interesting role. You will have good Microsoft Word and Excel skills. You will also be required to react well to change and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your day-to-day work and be committed to continual improvement.
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or above. Including Maths.
Good numeracy skills, in particular with financial data and systems.
