The council is seeking representations from residents and interested organisations to give their views on whether they would support or raise objections to the proposed polling arrangements throughout the Borough in readiness for the scheduled May 2019 local elections (borough Ward and Parish elections).
Whilst a full review must be undertaken at least every 5 years, during 2017 & 2018 the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) has undertaken and concluded its review of all Warding arrangements within the Borough, and changes have been made. Scarborough Borough Council must now review all polling districts and polling places to make sure they are fit for purpose to allow the May 2019 elections to go be administered.
To see the changes and new warding arrangements which will take effect immediately after the local elections in May 2019, please visit the LGBCE website (includes interactive maps): https://www.lgbce.org.uk/all-reviews/yorkshire-and-the-humber/north-yorkshire/scarborough
