General elections

A UK general election will be held on 8 June after MPs backed Prime Minister Theresa May's call for a snap poll.

To vote in an election you must be on the electoral register. You can register to vote online or by post.

postal vote application deadline is 5.00 pm on 23 May 2017
Going away on or before  30 May 2017
deadline to apply is 5.00 pm on 31 May 2017
Already away and going not coming back in time for the election?
we accept scanned & emailed images of forms to put a proxy in place
deadline is 5.00 pm on 31 May 2017.
